The Institute of Political Science is an educational and research institution of Ilia State University, which carries out educational, scientific-research and practical activities.
The institute was created in 2000 by the decree of the Government of Georgia, and in 2010 it joined Ilia State University.
The Institute of Political Science carries out interdisciplinary projects, and the main areas of research are the electoral process and the construction of democracy in Georgia, the association agreement and the prospects of Georgia’s accession to the European Union, and more.
